Cross-Border Transfer Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
How personal data moves between the countries we operate in.
Why transfers happen
Aduana Global Trade operates across Prince Edward Island, Canada and Accra, Ghana, and arranges shipments between supplier and destination markets. Fulfilling an enquiry therefore usually requires personal data to cross borders.
What is transferred
Only the data needed to complete the transaction:
- Contact details of the buyer or their nominated representative.
- Consignee and delivery details required by carriers and customs.
- Documentation identifiers such as invoice, bill of lading and clearance references.
Safeguards
- Transfers are limited to what is necessary for the specific shipment.
- Recipients such as freight forwarders, inspection agents and customs brokers are bound by contract to confidentiality and purpose limitation.
- Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or the customer's own documented instructions as the transfer mechanism.
- Data in transit is protected with encrypted connections.
